You don't know how many phones are in the house! Luckily I don't get called a lot so it doesn't bother me too much. This just happened to be a time I was needed.

I'm basically the same way at the theatre. I get mighty aggravated when people are around talking and making a lot of noise. Now if it was with a date I wouldn't mind nearly so much

I couldn't believe the news networks didn't pick it up, I still refuse to bleieve it?
Exactly one year, one month and one day AFTER 9/11 a popular tourist strip in Bali was bombed my Muslim Extremists. In total over 200 people were killed, including 88 Australians. In Australia we considered this an attack on us directly and it ran only behind 9/11 on death scale. This lady however, had never heard of it!

yes I heard of it and saw things on it , but I read the USa today news paper as well as the wall stret journal , I cant recall the facts on it nearly as well as I could the 9/11 attacks but I can more then understand your frustration that the news net works didnt pick it up , for the average american that only reads there local paper and maybe watches there nightly news they probably didnt pick up on it ..

well I know it was covered here extensively and I bet it was too in the states but some people don't pay attention to current events much in the first place, especially if it doesn't happen near them. but 9/11 was so heavily saturated in the US culture(rightfully so) that literally everybody had a thorough understanding of it.
If you would have asked her about the London train bombings, she would have likely been equally befuddled.

As time passes, it'll be like knowing where you were during Pearl Harbor or man landing on the Moon, etc. People get caught up in day to day living and it takes a lot to shake-up that inertia. Obviously, 9/11 was enough. Most people read about 100 people dying in a flood somewhere halfway around the world and forget about it as soon as they turn the page.

While playing BBall this afternoon I ruptured my achilles tendon. Now I'm on crutches with a cast and I hate it. Got to see a specialist after the long weekend to evaluate exactly what'll need to be done. I make the worst kind of patient because I HATE sitting around and I hate not being able to go full speed when I'm trying to get something done. I'm gonna be one crabby son of a bitch after a couple of weeks of this. But, the rest of the day was nice. (Otherwise, Mrs Lincoln, how'd you enjoy the play?)
