but yeah gotta agree with the multiple threads on the same subject thing.
If you are going to go to the trouble to create a new thread, take the 2 minutes to check and see if that topic has been started before. Then you can see what others have said on the subject and maybe you don't even need to add anything to it. Or if you do have something to add, you can do that without repeating what has been said before.

If you have something you just HAVE to let everyone know about yourself, put it in your 411 where no one will bother to look anyway...at least if you're a guy

Okay here's what I don't get, the people that do the most complaining about double threads have been here for awhile,(except joekickass). Can't you recognize it's a double and then just not read it? :unsure:

Or is it not that simple?

Well aside from the fact that it takes longer to sift through different threads, my biggest problem with it is, that sometimes people ask a valid question and I like to help out, but it gets bothersome posting the same thing I have already posted in another thread about the exact same thing. That's my biggest problem with it.

Like I said before..... if you see a double thread PM me... ill check it out if it is truely a dupe then Ill combine them.

One thing IM not gonna do in this forum , as a mod, is Catholic Nun someone across the knuckles for making a "dupe thread"

Natilie brings up a good point... shes a newb to the forum. I dunno what her forum experience is but maybe other newbs do not know to check back a few pages to see if a thread has been done.

One thing I don't want is the discouragement of new visitors to the forum because they get hounded for creating a thread that was similar to one several pages back.

Im sorry we were all newbies to forums at one time or another.

Again.. PM me with any forum "faux pas" you feel that are happening and I will check into it.

Bondi Gnapp Closeup and I remember when this forum was just a babe... its nice to have these types of growing pains on a forum.... means it is taking off

This is gonna come off poorly, but I was thinking of starting a thread. Go figure huh? Anyways I thought I'd be polite and see if my idea was going to be a double (don't want Bondi bringing his new beaux to kick my ass

) so I did a search and found all kinds of threads but none of them really pertained to what I want to start. Any suggestions or should I just start it and wait for my beating? :huh:

dude don't paint me as some sort of angry mother fucker.... as what I am trying to attain is a place where everyone can more freely and easily enjoy this place without taking 5 hours to get through everything.

Whilst I do not believe there should be restrictions on thread topics, there should be an unofficial rule to make sure wer arent doubling or even tripling up on thread topics, and that is my major gripe!

I agree 100%. This is also one of the big reasons I dont come around that much anymore and when I do I rarely post anymore. The old school gang can vouch for me when I say that I used to be the "post whore" but now it seems pointless. When I do get on here I check 3 places now and nothing else because I dont have the time nor do I want to sort through all the bullshit. It has gotten old. I havent ever bitched about it either, I just quit coming around. I figure why say anything when all that happens is people jump down your throat for having a different opinion :rolleyes:

Besides, whats one less member when you have tons of new members signing up everyday.

The sheer amount of stupidity on identical threads have driven away the sexiest of ladies. Oh and yes, she was the biggest post whore of them all.
