Everyone actually did pretty decent. Not great, but decent. We were far from last place and everybody worked hard so I can't complain even if the preparation wasn't up to par.
I don't want to toot my own horn but I ran a personal best for my leg of the race, 2 mins faster than I 've ever run. May not seem like a lot but I've never improved that much in a single run over that distance before.
I passed over a hundred people and never got passed, but gotta take that with a grain of salt as we were far enough back in the pack by the time I started that the really fast runners were already way ahead of me, but it still pushed me to run faster. If everyone in my group would have run at my pace we would have finished in the top 10, but I did train really hard for this race so I didn't expect anything les from myself.

I was visiting your thread to see how your marathon went and saw my question already answered. Bob is right, two minutes faster is huge. For one thing, it means your training was effective and you haven't reached your peak yet. And as long as you enjoyed yourself, I'd consider it a complete success. Now it's back to my part-time job of de-bunking Queen Victoria. I just read where she called you an asshole, she must have got that from Bondi's thread.

That's what I'm led to believe too. Also I thought I was behind my pace so I ran my bag off haha.

I ran as part of a 5 person relay. Each leg varied in length. Mine was 1/4 of the whole marathon.
