Back in 1996 I first got the interweb at home and discovered this crazy thing called chat rooms and such. But you needed a nickname and I couldn't think of a good one. Well another use for the net I found (besides porn) was you could look up crazy retro stuff from your childhood. So I was reading up on the smurfs and got a kick out of it cuz I used to love em as a youngin. Anyway, I remembered my favourite episode, which was the one where the fly bites the smurf in the ass, and then he turns into angry purple smurf, hops around yelling G'napp! G'napp! Then they would bite each other in the ass which would change the bitee into a purple smurf too.
So I thought, what they hell, that was as good a name as any, so I used it in my mIRC escapades. Well when I came upon this site a couple years ago I thought, "Gnapp ol boy, you nickname is tired and old. You need something new, fresh and exciting, and completely different" And I think Gnappster fits that bill nicely, plus it wouldn't let me use Doctor_of_Style.
