QUOTE(Juggs @ Nov 18 2016, 10:52 PM) I'm interested. Why did u lot vote for him? He's a billionaire. He knows nothing about poor people like us. So why? Just wondering? I think he held appeal because he isn't a Washington insider, and people are so pissed off at the government that he represented change. Clinton was just more of the same... I didn't vote for him, but I'm hopeful he turns out better than I'm expecting or we are all fucked. Figuratively, not properly. I'll take you up on your offer to hang out in England for a while tho!!

QUOTE(Juggs @ Nov 19 2016, 07:23 AM) She's probably more capable 😊 Unfortunately nobody has a crystal ball to see what it will look like in 4 years after 4 years of Trump but one thing is for sure , he has shook the country up. Everyone had thought after the debates and polling Hillary had it won , then little bits of info started coming out : fbi investigations, CNN newscaster had given hillary the questions before a debate , it began to look as if what Trump was saying might hold merit , that the media was trying to help a Democrat win . I found it funny that so many media outlets and stars where proved wrong, that in itself I think is a grand win for the American people. As to rather Trump is good for the country , only time will tell. But as to protestor that are blocking roadways and interrupting others work and lives , somebody in the Midwest has designed a vehicle to remove them from the public right away . Lol

I'll put my two in. though neither is a great option, I felt there was too much still unknown about Clinton and knowing how the eight years of Bill was with scandals, warranted or not, I could not trust her as president. Also, I feel more confident that the Legislature's powers can keep him in check and on the radio many who have called in have said he has an entirely different persona in private. he does not have a mandate so he may tread lightly with what he does. only time will tell how this story will write. on a side note, it still made history as the first elected that was not elected to a previous political office or former military general and the oldest ever elected. and as a fun fact, he is the first president also to be in the WWE Hall of Fame

QUOTE(somfan @ Nov 19 2016, 06:46 PM) Yep, quite possibly you hit on the real reason Trump took the white male vote. I'm amazed no one wants to talk about trump and the impact. There's lots of quite serious posts on here that tackle different issues. I'm amazed at how you don't engage with politics though. It's like you've given up 😒

I personally will probably see a reduction in my household tax burden, but I'm wondering how he intends to continue to repair badly damaged infrastructure unless he makes huge cuts elsewhere...military and education. And his latest pick as Commissioner of Education has no background in education at all. "Draining the swamp" at what cost...
