QUOTE(Gnappster @ Oct 17 2005, 03:18 PM) sorry for taking so long to say "Hey", but I'm a born procrastinator...except when it comes to sex. I get that done right away(sometimes in less than a minute!). Your job has to be one where it's best to turn it off at the end of the day. It would be hard dealing with death every day, especially in that kind of way. ugh, There I go rhyming again. yep, turning it off is the hard part. It just has to be done. This past week my department has been dealing with the death of a close friend and partner...I hate cop funerals. Thanks for the reply...talk at you more.

QUOTE(7mary3 @ Oct 7 2005, 02:28 AM) I thought I would take my turn at introductions. I've been watching this site for awhile and have really enjoyed the exchanges and the bold character of the ladies. I am 34 year old, married, with a child. I am private pilot that has lived in some part of Missouri most of my life. I play saxophone and piano. I am a self taught wine "common sewer" with a particular craving for sherry and port. Lets not forget about the beer...oh the beer. My sense of humor is a bit warped which helps bring some calm to my life (you'll see why in just a minute). I listen to music all across the board: Ramstein, to 80's hair band, to Mary Robbins. But I have an exceptional loathing of the Beatles (sorry I know alot of folks like their music). I spend alot of time at home or at work. I do not get involved with search and rescue operations for missing/crashed aircraft, as I have been a part of the air force SAR community for nearly 19 years. As you've seen from some of the threads I have an interest in tattoos and piercings, of which I have a few of my own. Then there is the whole exhibistion excitement. My professional life puts kind of a damper on some that stuff. The part of my life that usually throws people, as it does not fit their mold, is that I am a police officer. My specialty field is crash investigation which requires my presence on all fatality crashes. It is that harsh reality along with other parts of our society that I am exposed to that fosters that odd sense of humor. It also encourages me to seek out kind accepting people like you folks. I think that covers it. I'll post a pic for the ladies for a few days. OK...you're hot and I haven't seen a pic! I love wine, love Ramstein, hate the Beatles, love tats and piercings, dated 2 cops. Is your name, 7mary3, in reference to the band?

You seem like a very interesting person and someone that would have many good stories to share

Okay, Bobaloo brought up cow tipping. I thought I would relate a story that is amusing now but not at the time. Since them I have become really apprehensive of birds of prey. One snowy winter morning I went to a house to help animal control with a mature red tailed hawk that was in a fenced back yard. This hawk was able to fly for about 50 feet at a time and could not fly over the 4 foot chain link fence. So, I jump the fence and the animal control officer stays outside the fence (important clue that I missed ). He gives me a blanket and tells me to throw it on the hawk and cover it's eyes, than I can grab it. Now, I became really concerned about talons and beak flying at me. I open the blanket and slowly advance on this hawk. Three times I toss the blanket and each time it falls just in front of the hawk, only to jump back as it rocked back on it's tail feathers, screamed, and extended its talons towards me. This whole time the family with kids was watching this dumb cop try to catch a hawk. Well, one of the kids opens the patio door and calls out to his dad. That is when their blue tick hound runs out into the yard and gets nose to beak with this hawk. Everyone is calling for the dog to get away from this agitated bird. Before I can say "this ain't gonna be good." the hawk takes flight, lands on the dogs back, digs in those talons, and rides the dog around the yard as this poor dog is howling and running for shelter. Thank god for sphincter muscles because it is here that I nearly shat myself. I did finally pin the bird to the ground with a large broken tree limb. Someone else then cover the bird with a blanket and grabbed it. whew!
