QUOTE(Avvilimento @ Jan 13 2006, 04:19 AM) If that line about not being left handed wasn't from the Princess Bride, I'll be stuffed if I know where it's actually from... and if it was, I strongly suggest you re-watch it, as your memory is only mostly dead -Jak I think its from office space?

QUOTE(Gnappster @ Jan 13 2006, 10:26 PM) It appears Americo-Australianian relations are at an all-time low. Where's that Energizer "Oy" guy or a Yahoo Serious Festival when you need it. Hey Gnappy... Let go of the past... Yahoo Serious - even when I google Yahoo nothing Serious pops up... and that energizer OI guy (Jacko) has LONG been replaced by an animated battery... And I thought the Yanks were slow... Seems Canadians are just plain old dumb...

Ok, 3 things.... 1. I'm working in a call center 2. When I was 3 years old my mom got lost for five minutes when we were at the San Marino Airport in Italy. She still claims it was ME who ran away... 3. As a teenager I had plenty of hobbies and a full schedule; riding, ballet, acting, reading... now I have a day off and I'm thinking if I possibly should get out of the door or even try to get some excercise. Errr... so I mean... I'm lazy. 4. I also suck at math.

QUOTE(Gnappster @ Jan 14 2006, 01:25 AM) *searches for the "went right over your head emoticon"* but thank you for putting me in my place My Apologies Gnapp... Alls I saw was that stereotype that really f*cks me off "Let's throw another shrimp on the barbie" - I have NEVER known anyone to even throw one shrimp on the barbie... So I present my most humblest apologies to the Canadian Hero that is Gnappster, He of the Picture, Presenter of All That Is Funny... Sorry fella. Come down under and I'll buy ya a beer...

QUOTE(Gnappster @ Jan 16 2006, 11:43 AM) they sounded perfect to me LOL but when I hear their version of OUR accents, I cringe, but it's still funny. They elongate their vowels more than us but that's about it.Like they pronounce it MAWM and we say MUM. haha, I said elongate. haha An American trying to do an Aussie accent sounds like an American trying to do an Aussie accent! haha Oh and we don't even call it shrimp, we call them prawns

And I agree that Americans (which I am proud to be one) shouldn't try any accents(we have enough of our own)!! About the only time I try that is on St. Patty's Day (and only at an attempt of humor) as I have English & Irish heritage in me, along with some Native American. As it is we have areas with a New England accent, a New York accent, a Southern drawl, a Texas drawl, and then people say we in the midwest have an accent! I'm sure I'm missing some from somewhere, I just find it funny when I go places I hear how I have an accent and the midwest sounds really plain to me! But I must say, all accents sound good to me, as long as it is their own!! It's what makes the world go round!

QUOTE(Gnappster @ Jan 17 2006, 01:36 AM) plus I live in Canada, I hear mostly incorrect stereotypes ABOOT us all the time, EH? Y'know, I spoke to a nice Canadian a couple times a few years ago - we almost got together, but it never happened.... in any case, one thing people told me to ask was how exactly they pronounce the word "About" as compared to an Australian. Well, it definately doesn't sount like "A-boot"... if anything, it sounds like "A-boat". Still - a lot more pleasing than the "A-bow-t" of some American accents, and kind-of quirky, too; though I've always been a fan of most non-US accents (hear them too often - especially from people not from the US) (Oh, and there wasn't a single "Eh" in any phonecall, so I've no idea where that one started) -Jak I just moved here from Canada and they think I'm slow, 'eh?

I had a year long affair with a co-worker after finding out my ex was banging some guy she worked with. 3. I slept with two Columbian "primas" and neither one knew about the other, for about 6 months.

But I do think it depends upon where in canada they are from?...maybe I dont know
